APPOINTMENT BOOKING/RESCHEDULING/REFUNDING/CANCELATION POLICY

• MindGuru ensures that the experience on the MindGuru booking platform is beneficial to Clients.
• MindGuru will try to ensure that the Client is consulted by the same Counselor with whom the appointment has been confirmed, in the time slot booked by Client. Every care should be taken in order to avoid any difficulty to the Client. If Counselor’s unavailability occurs due to any emergencies, then the appointment should be rescheduled to another time as per Client’s convenience in 7 days.
• MindGuru realizes and respects the nature of the profession, and therefore consider following exceptions such as any emergencies from Counselor’s. In such instances, on discretion, rescheduling of consultation to be made by the Provider by taking care the convenience of Client.
• MindGuru may use social media platforms, or other communication interactive sources for the benefits and convenience of clients and counselors. Clients should not ask for appointments directly through phone or other sources from counselors.
• The client can give ratings for his/her counselor for the session done. This will help for other clients/visitors while viewing website. Also the counselors will rate the clients for their behavior like commitment, prescribed exercises or practices worked out, etc, which will not be displayed in the website.
• MindGuru checks for non-compliance cases and verified by communicating with both, the Counselor and the user. Each verified non-compliance case will be communicated to the Client through Email and SMS.
• Refunding is done to the user/client in 7 to 14 working days after the request has been done from client’s end.
• As non-compliance cases cause a negative influence on the reputation of the service, MindGuru may take strict actions/block the accounts from platform.
• This agreement between MindGuru and Counselor will be governed by the laws of India.

CONSENT FOR THE ASSESSMENT AND TREATMENT

This is an e-agreement and obliged to agree the consent terms and no need of any further signature for making this policies into practice before the consultation.

• I, Client understand that the type and extent of psychological intervention, which includes assessment and treatment that I will receive at the online platform will be determined following an initial clinical assessment of my problem/s through an interview with me, and/or my family members. The goal of this assessment process is to determine the best course of treatment for me.
• I understand that all information shared with my therapist at the time of assessment and treatment is confidential and no information will be released without my consent. During the course of assessment and treatment, at times it may be necessary for my therapist to communicate with other health services providers at the Institute.
• While written authorization will not be requested, prior to such communication, I understand that my therapist will discuss all such communications with me. Verbal consent for limited release of information may be necessary in special circumstances.
• I further understand that there are specific and limited exceptions to this confidentiality which include the following:
  • When there is risk of imminent danger to myself or to another person, my therapist is ethically bound to take necessary steps to prevent such danger.
  • When there is suspicion that a child or elder is being sexually or physically abused or is at risk of such abuse, my therapist is legally required to take steps to protect the child, and to inform the proper authorities.
  • When a valid court order is issued for medical records; my therapist and the Institute are bound by law to comply with such requests.
• I understand that some of the professionals involved in my assessment or treatment may be under training and in such cases all professionals-in-training are supervised by qualified and licensed staff. Typically, psychological treatment is provided over the course of several weeks.
• I understand that while psychological intervention or psychotherapy, may provide significant benefits, it may also pose risks. Psychotherapy may elicit uncomfortable thoughts and feelings, or may lead to the recall of troubling memories.
• If I have any questions regarding this consent form or about the services offered at the hospital/clinic, I may discuss them with my therapist.
• My therapist has explained all the above in a language that I understand, and I consent hereby to participate in the assessment and treatment offered to me by the therapist. Also I understand that I may stop treatment at any time.
